AMUSU strongly condemn UP cop Subodh Singh’s killing in Bulandshahr

Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University Students Union (AMUSU) today condemned the mob Violence and Cow Vigilantism, and strongly voiced against the conscpiracy hatched to eliminate inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, who probed Mohammad Akhlaq lynching and murder case. Murder of the police officer by mob of fanatics is a brazen violation of law and order and act of terror.
The Students’ Union expressed deep sense of anguish over the killing of Subodh Kumar Singh and consoled his demise. His murder, as said by his family is a result of his work on Akhlaq murder case and has been planned by Hindu right wing organisations.

The killing of the police officer on duty is a direct failure of the state administration and a threat to Indian democracy. We demand a time bound judicial enquiry in the matter and seek the direct intervention of the Prime Minister and the President of the nation, whose silence on the issue will only make the killers brave and virulent.
AMUSU stands by the family of Subodh kumar and shares their pain. We take strong objection to fabricating cases against Muslims in the name of cow. Targeting innocent Muslims is an appeasement strategy and subversion of democracy. We demand an impartial probe in the entire episode and a complete ban on the terror in the name of cow.
India has to remain peaceful and there is no space for majoritarianism and fear in a constitutional democracy.
AMUSU is keeping a close vigil on the happening in and around Bulandshehar.
