SIO and AMUSU Writes to President of India, HRD Minister regarding the clash of entrance exam date of AMU & JNU
President of SIO, Labeed Aliya and AMU Students' Union Cabinet member Ferdous Ahmed Barbhuiya wrote letter to the President of India, Ramnath Kovind, HRD minister Prakash Jawedkar
requesting to take this matter into consideration and ease the issue of clashes of entrance dates.
New Delhi:– Students are the back bone of our nation, playing an important role in nation-building and a better nation is possible only with better education. There are only a few universities of India which are notable for quality education and for which students are very much ambitious and struggle to gain admission through entrance exams.
Recently the dates for the entrance exam of different universities have been declared. In this regard the following dates notified by Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) are found to be clashing: 27-30 May 2019.
As both universities are of national importance and students applying for admission in both the universities will suffer, we request the administrations of AMU and JNU to immediately and amicably resolve the dates to prevent a clash of schedule, Labeed Shafi, National President SIO of India, demanded.
The Students Islamic Organization of India has appealed in this regard to the President of India, MHRD and the respective VCs, Shafi added.
In this context the AMUSU cabinet member, Ferdous Ahmed Barbhuiya wrote a letter to the MHRD minister, Prakash Jawedkar mentioning that Aligarh Muslim University has declared its entrance dates a month earlier and Jawaharlal Nehru University notified its entrance dates a week ago. Both the universities are of national importance and schools of higher learning. These clashes of dates will cause a stake in the future of the students. Ferdous A Barbhuiya requested HRD minister to take this matter into consideration and try to ease the issue of clashes.
